Driver App Overview
A mobile-optimised interface for drivers to view jobs, confirm waste details, and sign WTNs on-site.
What is the Driver App?
The Driver App is a mobile-optimised section of QWTN available at /driver. It is designed to be used on a phone or tablet at the kerbside. Drivers assigned the driver or staff role in your team can log in and access only their assigned jobs — they cannot see the full admin dashboard.
Key screens
Schedule — lists all jobs assigned to the driver for the selected date, grouped into Morning, Afternoon, and No Time Set sections. Job Detail — shows full job information and, depending on the job type, offers controls to start the collection, edit EWC codes and quantity, select a transfer station, capture signatures, or request signatures by email. History — an archive of past jobs.
Job types
Standard Collection jobs proceed through: Scheduled → Start Collection → (in progress) Edit Waste Details → Sign WTN → Completed. Transfer Run jobs also require the driver to select a Transfer Station before the sign flow, and can send a signature request to the site contact by email rather than signing on-screen.
Status flow
Jobs move through four statuses: Scheduled (assigned, not yet started), In Progress (started by the driver), Completed (all signatures captured and note finalised), and Cancelled (removed from the schedule). Once a job is Completed it moves to history.
Access
Drivers access the app by logging in with their QWTN credentials at the standard login page. They are automatically directed to /driver/schedule. Drivers cannot access /app routes — those are restricted to owner and admin roles.
