Job Detail
View full job information, start and complete collections, and track whether a job is covered by a one-off note or a season ticket.
Job header card
The top card shows the job type (Collection or Transfer Run), a note-type badge (One-Off or Season Ticket), and the status badge. Below the header it shows: scheduled date and time, collection address and postcode, customer name, waste description, driver notes (if any), and WTN reference (if a note has been created).
Note-type badge
Each collection job shows a badge indicating whether it is covered by a one-off waste transfer note or a season ticket. One-Off (blue) means a new note will be created and signatures must be captured. Season Ticket (green) means the collection is covered by an existing signed season ticket — no new note or customer signature is required.
Status badge colours
Blue for Scheduled, amber for In Progress, green for Completed, grey for Cancelled.
Job detail fields
All information on the job detail page is read from the office-assigned collection record. Drivers cannot edit the date, address, or customer from this screen — only EWC codes and quantity can be edited once the job is In Progress.
Starting a collection
When a job is Scheduled, a large "Start Collection" button is shown at the bottom. Tapping it sets the job status to In Progress and automatically creates a linked waste transfer note for the collection. The note reference appears in the header card once created. If you have a saved default signature on your profile, it is automatically applied to the note as your driver (transferee) signature — the sign flow will show "Driver signature present" instead of prompting you to sign. For season ticket collections, no new note is created — the existing season ticket reference is used instead.
In-progress actions
Once In Progress, the relevant action panels appear below the job card. For one-off collections: the Waste Details editor (EWC codes and quantity), the WTN Signatures panel for capturing the customer and driver signatures, and a Complete Collection button once both signatures are present. For season ticket collections: the Waste Details editor to record the actual quantity collected, and a Complete Collection button. For transfer runs: the held waste manifest, evidence capture form, and a Complete Transfer Run button.
Completing a collection
Once the required steps are done (signatures for one-off, quantity for season ticket), tap Complete Collection. For one-off collections, this finalises the waste transfer note and marks the waste as stored or held on the truck pending a transfer run. For season ticket collections, this records the quantity against the season ticket. The job status changes to Completed and a green confirmation card shows the note reference and waste summary.
Waste stored and held
When a collection is completed, the waste is marked as stored on the vehicle. This creates a held waste record tied to your truck, which the office can then schedule for a transfer run to a licensed site. The held waste remains on your truck's manifest until you complete a transfer run that includes it.
Completed and cancelled states
Completed jobs show a green confirmation card with the WTN or season ticket reference, EWC codes, and quantity. Cancelled jobs show a grey notice. Neither state offers further actions.
