Record a new permit or licence with its reference, issuing authority, and validity dates.
Permit Details
The Permit Details section captures the core identifying information for the authorisation. Permit Type and Reference Number are required; all other fields are optional but recommended.

Set an expiry date to unlock alerts
Once you save an expiry date, QWTN will flag the permit as Expiring when fewer than 30 days remain and show an urgent dot when fewer than 7 days remain. This is the simplest way to stay ahead of renewals.
Common Mistakes
• Leaving Reference Number blank — this is the only required field and is needed to identify the permit on WTN documents.
• Forgetting to tick "Pin as primary" for your main waste carrier licence — without it the reference will not auto-populate on new waste transfer notes.
