Scheduling Overview
Plan and manage waste collections, transfer runs, and recurring pickups for your drivers.

1. What the Schedule module covers
The Schedule module has two components: one-off scheduled collections (viewable by date on the Schedule page) and recurring schedules (managed on the Schedules page). One-off collections appear on the date they are scheduled. Recurring schedules automatically generate collections according to their frequency rules.
2. The Schedule page
The Schedule page shows collections for the selected date. You can navigate between dates to see what is planned. Each collection card shows the type (collection or transfer run), the assigned driver, customer, address, waste description, and status. Click a collection card to view its full detail.

Use recurring schedules for regular customers
For customers with weekly or fortnightly collections, create a Recurring Schedule instead of adding a one-off collection each time. The system will automatically generate collection entries on the right dates.
Schedule and Schedules are different pages
The Schedule page (/app/schedule) shows individual daily collections. The Schedules page (/app/schedules) manages recurring schedule templates. Both link together: recurring schedules generate entries that appear on the daily Schedule page.
Common Mistakes
• Creating a one-off collection for every week instead of setting up a recurring schedule — this creates unnecessary manual work.
• Confusing a transfer run with a regular collection — transfer runs are used when a driver visits a licensed transfer site, not a customer site.
