Transfer Runs

Handle waste deliveries to a registered transfer station, including selecting a site and requesting a site signature.

What is a Transfer Run?

A Transfer Run is a collection job where the waste is being delivered to a registered transfer station rather than collected from a client. The job type is set by the office when scheduling. On the Job Detail page, Transfer Run is shown as the job type in the header card.

Selecting a transfer station

After tapping Start Collection on a Transfer Run that has no site assigned, the "Select Transfer Station" panel appears. The driver selects the destination site from a dropdown list of registered sites. Tapping Confirm Transfer Station saves the selection and advances to the signature step. If no sites are on file, a warning message instructs the driver to contact their office.

Transfer Station panel

Once a site has been confirmed, the Transfer Station panel shows the site name, address, contact name, and contact email. It also shows the current WTN signature status. The primary action is Request Site Signature.

Requesting a site signature

Tapping Request Site Signature shows a confirmation prompt: "Send signature request to [email]?" Tapping Confirm sends the request. QWTN emails the site contact with a link to sign the waste transfer note as the transferee. On success a green confirmation message is shown.

Signature status badges

The status badge shows the current state of the WTN: Draft (grey), Awaiting Site Signature (amber), Signed (green), Completed (green). Once the site contact has signed via the emailed link, the status updates to Signed or Completed.

When no contact email is on file

If the selected transfer site has no contact email recorded, a warning is shown: "No contact email on file for this site. Cannot send signature request." In this case, use the standard WTN sign flow to capture a signature on-screen, or contact your office to add an email to the site record.

Transfer Runs require a site to be set up in advance
The dropdown is populated from sites added by your office in the Sites section of the main admin dashboard. If your destination is not in the list, contact your office to add it before the run.
Ensure the site has a contact email for paperless sign-off
Adding a contact email to the transfer site record enables fully paperless sign-off — the site operative receives an email and signs on their own device. This is faster and creates a better audit trail than a paper signature.
