Note Templates
Save any note as a reusable template to pre-fill future notes of the same type.
What is a template?
A template captures the structure of a note — the waste description, EWC codes, containment type, quantity, transferor details, and transferee details — and saves them under a name you choose. When you create a new note from a template, all those fields are pre-filled. You only need to review, adjust any changed details, and complete.
Saving a note as a template
Open any note in the PreviewEditor. Click the bookmark icon in the title bar (or find "Save as Template" in the action menu). A dialog prompts you for a template name. Enter a descriptive name such as "Weekly skip collection — Acme site" and click Save. The template is immediately available in the templates list.
Using a template
Navigate to Notes → One-Off Notes → Templates (or Season Ticket → Templates). Each template card shows the template name, waste description, and the transferor/transferee party names. Click "Use Template" to open a new note pre-filled with the template data. Review all sections — dates, quantities, and party details may need updating — then complete as normal.
What is pre-filled from a template
Templates store: the waste description (A1), EWC codes, containment types, quantity, transferor name and company (B1), transferee name and company (C1), and transfer address (D1). Signatures are not stored — you must sign each note individually. The transfer date is also not pre-filled as it should reflect the actual date of each transfer.
Template list
The templates page lists all your saved templates ordered by most recently created. Each card shows: template name, waste description, and the from/to party names. If you have no templates yet, an empty state with a "Create a note" link is shown.
