Note History & Audit Log
View your complete history of waste transfer notes with status indicators, chain flags, and CSV export.
Accessing the Audit Log
Navigate to Notes → Audit Log in the sidebar. The page loads all notes across your account (one-off and season ticket), ordered most-recently-created first. If no notes exist yet, an empty state prompts you to create your first note.
What the Audit Log shows
Each row in the audit log shows: the note reference number, waste description, transferor name (Section B), transferee name (Section C), creation date, transfer type, chain status, and a status indicator dot. The status dot is green for complete notes, blue/main for notes pending signature, and unfilled for drafts.
Status indicators
Three status values are shown via the coloured dot at the right of each row. Green (complete) means the note has been finalised and is a locked legal record. Blue (pending_signature) means the note is complete but one or both signatures are still outstanding. Unfilled (draft) means the note has not been completed yet.
Chain and deferred flags
Notes with open chain gaps (chain_status = open) and notes with deferred parties (deferred_party is set) are visible in the audit log list. You can identify them by their status and navigate directly to each note to resolve the issue.
Per-type history pages
In addition to the main Audit Log, each note type has its own history page: Notes → One-Off Notes → History shows up to 50 most recent one-off notes, and Notes → Season Tickets → History shows season ticket history. These pages show the same columns as the audit log but are filtered by note type.
Exporting notes
The Audit Log page header shows a "Export" button when notes are present. This exports your note history as a CSV file containing all the fields from the audit log, suitable for manual review or submission to the Environment Agency. The Reports module provides more detailed waste summary reports for annual return purposes.
