Download & Print PDF

Generate a professionally formatted PDF of any waste transfer note for download or printing.

1. Open a note
2. Click Download PDF or Print
3. PDF generates
4. Save or print

1. Downloading a PDF

Open any completed waste transfer note and click the "Download PDF" button in the top bar. The system generates a professionally formatted PDF document and downloads it to your computer. The filename follows the pattern WTN-YYYY-MM-DD.pdf, or uses the note reference number if one is set.

2. Printing a note

Click the "Print" button in the top bar to generate the PDF and open it in a new browser tab. From there, use your browser's print dialog (Cmd+P or Ctrl+P) to send it to a printer. This is useful when you need a physical copy for site records or to hand to a driver.

3. What the PDF includes

The PDF contains the full WMC2A waste transfer note layout with all four sections: Section A (waste description, EWC codes, containment, quantity), Section B (transferor details and duty of care declaration), Section C (transferee details), and Section D (transfer address, date, time, and broker details). If digital signatures have been captured, they appear as images in the signature blocks at the bottom of the document.

4. Custom branding on PDFs

If you have configured WTN Branding in Settings, your PDFs will reflect your custom branding: company logo, accent colours, font choice, header layout, section styling, and footer text. This gives your waste transfer notes a professional, branded appearance when shared with clients or regulators.

Brand your PDFs
Set up WTN Branding in Settings to add your company logo, colours, and contact details to every PDF you generate. This makes your notes look professional and clearly identifies your business.
PDF generation happens in your browser
PDFs are generated locally in your browser — no data is sent to an external service. This means generation is fast and your note data stays private.
Common Mistakes
Trying to download a PDF before completing all sections — ensure all required fields are filled in before generating.
Not checking branding settings first — if your PDF looks plain, set up WTN Branding in Settings to add your logo and colours.
